Our God reigns!!!
As I sat in church on Sunday listening to the sermon I began to scan the congregation. In my mind I was Thanking God for the numerous answered prayers sitting all around the sanctuary. The lives that are forever changing give my heart such overwhelming joy. God is so Good. However, as Pastor Noel spoke of warfare I noticed those who were not there. Those who are battling their own issues or demons so to speak. So, I'm just asking that we be aware of everyone around us. That we just really increase our efforts to pray for the entire congregation. That we up lift everyone in prayer. That we plead for the Holy Spirit to intercede in lives and redirect our purposes. Like Pastor Noel said their are casualties in war. Let's pray that NO ONE becomes a casualty from our congregation. That we can up lift one another in such a way that everyone we come in contact with will see the light of God in us.

You are absolutely right Shonda. As Noel said, the enemy is powerful, but God is All-Powerful. We need to remember to pray for the other pastors and churches in Monett as well. They are fighting the same fight that we are.

Spiritual maturity seems to have several marks, one of them being a growing concern for others. Spiritually immature Christians are only thinking of themselves and what is best for them. Growing toward spiritual maturity involves healthy consideration of those around us, like the struggling Christians that may be missing huge blessings by not being in the community of faith on Sunday mornings. Thanks church for praying diligently for others! Kinda seems like something Jesus does.
