He is at work...in His people

No chastening seems to be joyful for the present, but painful; nevertheless,afterward it yields the peaceable fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it (Hebrews 12:11).

The Lord is righteous in all His ways,Gracious in all His works.The Lord is near to all who call upon Him, To all who call upon Him in truth.He will fulfill the desire of those who fear Him;He also will hear their cry and save them. My mouth shall speak the praise of theLord,And all flesh shall bless His holy nameForever and ever (Psalm 145:17-19, 21).

....the God of all grace, who called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, will Himself perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you. (1 Peter 5:10-11).
