Thou shall not kill

Aside from the obvious, are there some other ways this commandment could be broken?

Thou shalt not kill

What about killing the spirit of a person? Some actions leave the victim alive only to be tormented by the event.

Great Point. If we take away someones will to live, or destroy a part of someones life, isn't that much the same as committing murder? Can anyone find any scriptures to back this point of view? Smile

Satan comes to kill, steal and destroy- John 10.
I wonder if many church go-ers are unintentionally murdering, stealing and destroying by their lack of Christian action?

Luke 11:23 "This is war, and there is no neutral ground. If you're not on my side, you're the enemy; if you're not helping, you're making things worse."

1 Peter 5:8 "Be careful! Watch out for attacks from the Devil., your great enemy. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for some victim to devour."

Suppose you chose not to fight and were "devoured"?. What would the Enemy gain by "taking you out?"

Wake up church-goers. Look around you. We are in a spiritual war. Abide in Christ. Be on His side. Obey His instructions. Love those around you. Otherwise, we're giving way to the Enemy.

Neh 4:14 Then I looked things over and told the leaders, the officials, and the rest of the people, "Don't be afraid of your enemies! The Lord is great and fearsome. So think of him and fight for your relatives and children, your wives and homes!"
