ignorance is bliss
Christ revealed himself to Paul on the road to Damascus... why do we continually box God in? We are finite, He is infinite, His ways are beyond knowing?? There are some things we don't know, can't know, but I know this, I know in whom I have believed and that is enough for me. It will not bridle my tongue, I will continue to proclaim Christ to any who will listen, the rest God takes care of...

Re: Is Ignorance Bliss?
Hello everyone
My name is Stephen. For those of you who don't me, I serve alongside Noel here at The Naz as the Family Pastor. I have been reading the blog and have a few things to add:
Jswadley (I'm told your name is Jerry and you work with Weston- pleasure to "meet" you), you asked, "Since Christ fulfills the law, do jews still live under the law?" Galatians says A LOT about this, but these verses say the most in relation to your question:
Galatians 2:15-16- "15We who are Jews by birth and not 'Gentile sinners' 16know that a man is not justified by observing the law, but by faith in Jesus Christ. So we, too, have put our faith in Christ Jesus that we may be justified by faith in Christ and not by observing the law, because by observing the law no one will be justified."
Galatians 3:10-13 "10All who rely on observing the law are under a curse, for it is written: "Cursed is everyone who does not continue to do everything written in the Book of the Law."[a] 11Clearly no one is justified before God by the law, because, "The righteous will live by faith."[b] 12The law is not based on faith; on the contrary, "The man who does these things will live by them."[c] 13Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us, for it is written: "Cursed is everyone who is hung on a tree."[d]
Weston, you asked, "Can a person have a relationship with Christ without ever hearing the gospel?"
Romans 10:13-15 says, "13for, "Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.[a] 14How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? 15And how can they preach unless they are sent? As it is written, "How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!"[b]
Thanks everyone and God Bless!
