What is the meaning of "Meaningless, meaningless, everything is meaningless"? quoted from Ecclesiastes.

Ro 8:20 For the creation was made subject to meaninglessness, not willingly, but by reason of HIM who hath subjected the same in hope,

It seems that at the time of this writing, Solomon was at best agnostic. With that in mind, this video by Ravi Zacharias sums it up pretty well. [Same video that Noel showed in the service a while back].

The KJV uses the word "vanity" instead of "meaninglessness."

Jesus says, "I am the Vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in Me and I in him, he will bear much fruit. Apart from Me you can do nothing." John 15:5.

Life apart from Jesus is "vanity" or "meaninglessness."

When we try to reconcile our life with eternal things apart from Christ, we come up with handfuls of sand (vanity). Interpreting life through the lens of Jesus Christ supersedes logic. We find Jesus and in Him we find meaning!
